Flowers are inherently beautiful and have a presence about them that makes them an excellent subject for painting practice. Spending time studying how petals fold, color cascades around the center of the bloom, the shadows tuck under each curve, etc. has made me a more skillful and attentive painter over time.

Flowers themselves are an important subject matter as they represent happiness and abundance. Hanging these pieces in any room instantly brightens and brings joy into the space. They also make a really good gift in place of living flowers because their beauty is eternal as they never wilt or die.
