Growing up in Florida, the ocean has always given me a sense of calmness - the warm sun on my face, the sound of waves crashing on shore, the beautiful blue skies melting into the seemingly infinite water. Looking out into the vastness of the ocean makes me feel at peace and one with the earth.

Painting the ocean gives me a similar feeling of peace and also enables me to bring that feeling into my home and into the homes of others. I exaggerate the vibrancy of the ocean with acrylic paints and utilize molding paste, sand, and a mixture of gloss and matte varnish to create texture that allows the viewer to feel like the ocean is right there in the room with them, so much so that they can even touch it.
