Save the Tigers - 2.5" x 7.5"
This tiger statuette was created as part of my ongoing endangered species series. Wrapped in money and gold just as the poachers see these animals, Tigers are hunted for their fur, bones, and penis - all of which are exchanged for insane amounts of money. Yeah, you read that one right, in some countries tiger penis soup is thought to increase male virility (a notion not supported by science) and is sold for $400 per bowl. These beautiful wild cats have become endangered as poachers continue to cash in their lives for profit. The rarer these animals become, the more expensive and more sought after their body parts become. You can learn more about this topic and this art series by checking out my Endangered Species portfolio.
